Coppers Restaurant Bozeman

Bozeman, MT

On our recent trip out west to Glacier National Park, we spent our first night in Bozeman.  We saw nothing but rain and did not get an opportunity to get out on the town due to a flight delay and early departure the next morning to the park. On our return from Banff, we left very early so we could spend our last vacation night in Bozeman before our return flight back home the next morning. A perfect situation for adding a new city for an Old-Fashioned AF review.

Enter Coppers restaurant.  As you step into Coppers, you are immediately greeted by a warmth that’s both familiar and refined. Located in downtown Bozeman, this establishment stands as a testament to the timeless charm of good food, friendly service, and an atmosphere that invites you to stay a little longer.

The decor strikes the perfect balance between rustic Montana elegance and modern comfort, with warm wood tones and soft lighting casting a glow over diners. It’s the kind of place where you can savor your meal and conversation without feeling rushed.

The bar at Coppers is equally impressive, offering a fine selection of spirits and expertly crafted cocktails. They were crowded and we grabbed the last two seats at the bar. Their Old Fashioned, made with local whiskey, is a masterclass in balance — not too sweet, just the right amount of bite, and beautifully presented.  And that’s what I chose-their Copper Old Fashioned. This is based with Dry Hills Straight Bourbon, a distillery just a few miles down the road. Four grains and 90 proof. They blend in demerara syrup, sugar, orange peel and their house made bitters. If you know me, I believe an Old-Fashioned pairs well with almost any meal. That was the case once again tonight with my Bison Burger.  I felt like a local!

Service is attentive without being intrusive, with staff who are knowledgeable, courteous, and clearly take pride in making your dining experience exceptional.

Coppers is more than just a meal; it’s a pleasant experience. Whether you’re a local or just passing through Bozeman, this restaurant is sure to leave a lasting impression. It’s the kind of place you’ll want to return to time and again — a true gem in the Treasure State.
